About the Riders

The American Legion Riders is not a motorcycle club and does not practice motorcycle club rules or regulations. The American Legion Riders is family-oriented, just as is its parent organization: The American Legion.

American Legion Riders chapters are well known for their charitable work, which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local children's hospitals, schools, veteran's homes, severely wounded servicemembers and scholarships. Since 2006, Riders nationwide have participated in The American Legion Legacy Run to annually raise money for the Legacy Scholarship Fund, established to provide scholarships to children of U.S. military personnel killed since Sept. 11, 2001, and to include children of VA-rated, post-9/11 veterans with a combined disability rating of 50 percent or higher.
